Making sure international students understand the importance of health and travel insurance is not an easy task. There are so many things for a student to remember that insurance tends to be the last thing on their mind during orientation or when they first arrive. Making sure students are covered with the appropriate plan and level of coverage will really help them when they actually need to seek medical care.
To assist in educating and preparing students, we have put together a number of resources to help your students navigate their way through the world of insurance, and we are making these resources available at no cost to schools, college and universities.
Our session at the 2016 NAFSA Annual Conference in Denver featured a diverse and experienced panel who discussed mental health awareness for international students and scholars. Topics included common mental health concerns, obstacles that prevent international students from seeking treatment, and how to overcome barriers through effective resources and on-campus programming.
Let us handle your international student insurance orientation with an online student orientation. Just let us know the time and date that will work for you and your students, and we will schedule an online presentation that walks your students through the maze of the US Healthcare System.
If you would like a supply of our insurance brochures, please let us know. We will be happy to mail you a supply of plan brochures along with a brochure stand to display in your international student or study abroad office. Simply tell us which brochures you would like, and how many we should send.
If you would like more information about any of these resources, please let us know and we will be happy to help you.
In addition to the services listed above, we have a number of video resources available. The video resources can be embedded or linked to from your website or PowerPoint presentation. Alternately, we can send you the video directly for inclusion in your live student orientation.
