Western Michigan University recommends the Student Secure plan as a waiver option for International Students. This plan offers comprehensive health insurance coverage during your stay in the United States and anywhere outside of your home country.
International students studying at Western Michigan University must purchase coverage on the Select and Elite levels only, to protect themselves in unexpected events or situations, such as having an accident or illness during their time away from home.

Student Waivers
If you need to waive your school’s insurance plan, please purchase your policy online, and then submit your waiver form to us at info@internationalstudentinsurance.com. Waivers will be completed within 48 business hours and sent directly to your school.
