The Student Secure health insurance plan provides comprehensive coverage meeting the J-1 regulatory requirements for health insurance, and provides coverage for COVID-19 the same as any other illness. Scholars are encouraged to view the plan benefits, exclusions and frequently asked questions to familiarize themselves with how the plan works and what it covers. Once you have purchased coverage, you will need to download your visa letter in the Student Zone. Scholars are responsible for having health insurance coverage for their ENTIRE stay in the U.S. You should never let your insurance policy expire as long as you remain in the U.S.
