Both the Student Secure and Atlas Travel plans are great options to suit your health insurance needs, and meet or exceed the minimum health insurance requirements from Northwestern University. The Atlas Travel plan works well for anyone outside of their home country, from as little as five days up to one year. This is a great option for J-1 visa holders and their dependents staying for one year or less. The Student Secure plan is also a great option but for J-1 visa holders only. This plan offers comprehensive coverage allowing you to choose from four different levels, and can be purchased from as little as 15 days up to one year with renewability for up to four years in total.
