Product Update - 2012 Plan Changes
We are excited to announce updates to our Atlas Travel and Student Secure insurance plans. Effective May 1st, the Atlas travel now includes coverage for extreme/ hazardous sports at no extra charge, and coverage levels have increased for the acute onset of a pre-existing condition benefit and dental pain benefit. The Student Secure has also been updated with rates being held, the inclusion of substance abuse into the mental health coverage and and other benefit enhancements.

School Requirements/ Waiver
With the cost of insurance going up, and the new healthcare reform changes in the USA, school group insurance plans are getting even more expensive. However, individual insurance plans, like the Student Secure are still an excellent affordable option.

Most schools will allow you to waive out of their insurance plan for a more affordable individual option. Check out our school requirements page to see if our Student Secure plan will meet your requirements. Once you purchase the plan, simply fax us your waiver form and we will forward it (completed) to your school within 24 hours. It could save you as much as $700 compared to your school's plan!

Finland - Renew Your Plan
If you are one of the many international students in Finland who purchase our insurance coverage, now is the time to get your renewal completed for the new school year. Plans can be renewed quickly and easily through our Student Zone, or you can call our customer service team who will be happy to assist you.

Coverage is now as low as €154 for one year of insurance, and our plan is still an excellent option offering low cost coverage. Our plan is recognized in Finland for easy approval of your visa. Let us know if you have any questions or would like assistance with renewing or purchasing a new plan.

Canadian Student Health Insurance
As some of you may have noticed from our website, we have just launched our Canadian International Student Health Insurance plan for students who are planning to study in Canada. The plan offers a 3 tiered structure so that students can select the coverage they wish. Pricing on the new plan starts at $470 Canadian dollars for the base plan and moves up to $650 Canadian dollars for the most comprehensive plan level.

If you are an international student in Canada, are planning to study in Canada in the coming month or have friends that are currently in Canada - this is an excellent low cost option and will save you money!
