Of course all waiver forms are different, but typically includes the following:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\"><li><strong>A student section<\/strong>, requiring your name, date of birth and signature<\/li><li><strong>A list of benefits that your alternative plan must include<\/strong>, such as coverage for sports, maternity and mental health<\/li><li>The specific <strong>dates<\/strong> that your <strong>insurance coverage<\/strong> needs to be active<\/li><li><strong>A section to be completed by the insurance company<\/strong>, which typically requires a signature and date<\/li><\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>For reference, these waiver forms tend to be between 1-2 pages long and can be downloaded from your school\u2019s website, or provided from the health services or international office on campus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<blockquote class=\"wp-block-quote is-layout-flow wp-block-quote-is-layout-flow\"><p><i>Now that you know what a waiver is and what it\u2019s used for, let\u2019s get into our 4 tips for an easy insurance waiver process!<\/i><\/p><\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"card\">\n  <h5 class=\"card-header\">Tip 1: Start Early!<\/h5>\n  <div class=\"card-body\">\n       <p class=\"card-text\">The trick to getting your waiver completed and back to your school on time is simply starting the process as quickly as possible. After you\u2019ve taken the time to track down a plan that meet your <a href=\"https:\/\/www.internationalstudentinsurance.com\/school_requirements\/\">school requirements<\/a>, it\u2019s important to keep in mind that sections of &nbsp;your waiver form may need to also be completed by the insurance company.&nbsp;For reference, this process generally takes between <i style=\"line-height: 1.5;\">2-3 business days <\/i>(meaning that weekends don\u2019t count!), so don\u2019t forget to add in a few extra days when creating a timeline for your waiver form.<\/p>\n  <\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"card\">\n  <h5 class=\"card-header\">Read Your Waiver Carefully!<\/h5>\n  <div class=\"card-body\">\n       <p class=\"card-text\">Before you begin the search for your insurance plan, be sure to read and re-read your waiver requirements. Oftentimes waivers have a section for the insurance company to complete as well as a student portion \u2013 which requires your name, insurance policy number, as well as your date of birth and of course, your autograph.
